In news that is bound to buoy the hospitality industry in the Maldives, the number of western tourists arriving at the island nation has been increasing; this is according to an online article published on 19th October on the Nikkei Asia website. Amongst the key western countries that have contributed to this boost in arrivals are the U.S., Russia, Britain, Germany and Spain. It was also noted that there was a positive trend for travellers to be increasing their stay duration when compared with 2019.
