Whistler Film Festival 2019 Comes to a Close

A Treat for Cinephiles in Whistler

The 19th edition of the Whistler Film Festival drew to a close this month and yet again attracted many filmmakers, actors and actresses as well as fans of cinema. The event ran from 04th to 08th December 2019 and screenings took place at several venues that were easy to reach for those staying at a Whistler hotel; venues included the Rainbow Theatre, Village 8 Cinemas near Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside and the Maury Young Arts Centre.

This year’s festival featured 90 films from Canada and other countries and was complemented by special Talent Programmes and Content Summit initiatives. While the Whistler Film Festival provided a space for networking, sharing industry knowledge and deal-making, it also hosted a number of awards; the Borsos Award for Best Canadian Feature, the World Documentary Award and the Audience Award to name a few.
