WHO Software Helps Maldives in Tracing COVID-19 Patients & Their Contacts- Go.Data for the improvement of the island

The World Health Organisation had come up with a software to monitor the chain transmission of COVID-19 when it first broke out. Maldives is now using this very tool to monitor outbreaks in the country. Since the geographical set up in Maldives is very different, the tool called Go.Data has been customised to monitor outbreaks on individual islands and atolls.

The tool can be used both online and offline and according to Deputy Director General, Health Protection Agency, Ibrahim Nishan Ahmed, Go.Data has aided immensely in the decision making process on how to deal with the pandemic in the country. This has further helped the Maldives to become a safe place for visitors to come in and enjoy Maldives attractions and luxury stays at hotels like Dhigali Maldives.
