WTTC Safe Travels Stamp Bestowed on Sri Lanka

A Global Stamp of Approval

The tourism industry in Sir Lanka received some much-needed good news recently as the country was given the Safe Travels stamp by the WTTC or World Travel & Tourism Council. The announcement came in August and also listed Grenada as another country to have received this stamp as part of an initiative supported by the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation).

The Safe Travels stamp is granted to those destinations that are following international standardised safety protocols and health guidelines; this, in turn, will help travellers identify places that are deemed safe to travel to. Sri Lanka is one such country that has implemented stringent protocols which have kept the spread of COVID-19 in check. Those planning to explore this tropical island can refer sites likes Truly Sri Lanka to find out more about what they can see and do here once the international airport is open.
