2024 Marks Special Year for China and Tanzania – 60 years of Collaboration

In 2024, China and Tanzania celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations. To mark this milestone, the 2024 China-Tanzania Culture and Tourism Year began on Wednesday at the China National Opera House in Beijing, with Tanzanian artists performing Taarab music, a Tanzanian view of music. Aiming to bring energy to businesses such as luxury safaris in Tanzania, this event signified strong relations between countries and is expected to boost business to brands like Skysafari. 

The opening ceremony featured speeches from Sun Yeli, China’s Minister of Culture and Tourism; Angellah Kairuki, Tanzania’s Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism; and Khamis Omar, the Tanzanian Ambassador to China,At the event, a 25-minute documentary titled Amazing Tanzania premiered, aiming to showcase Tanzanian tourism to Chinese audiences. Guided by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Zanzibari President Hussein Mwinyi, acclaimed Chinese actor Jin Dong embarked on an enchanting journey through Tanzania’s diverse attractions.
