Tourism Reforms Planned for Bali – New Digital Platform for Tourists Also Launched

As reported on the Reuters news website in August this year, Indonesian authorities are planning to reform tourism in the enchanting island of Bali. It is hoped that this will enhance tourism quality as well as help to preserve the local culture which is an integral part of this idyllic tropical destination. It is not surprising that this popular island has seen a steady influx of visitors this year eager to experience the best it has to offer in areas like Uluwatu. Bali hotels in this scenic coastal area such as Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort make an ideal base to enjoy everything from beachside bliss and surfing to cultural experiences.

To further enhance the tourist journey, the Indonesian Ministry for Tourism and Creative Economy also released a new digital platform that provides visitors with key information on destinations including Bali. Launched in October 2024 and named Digital Nusantara Tourist Information Centre, it provides an easy-to-use platform with details covering key attractions, transportation, accommodation and more.
