Indonesia Strengthens Tourism Resilience Amid Global Uncertainty

Strategic initiatives position Indonesia to sustain tourism growth and visitor confidence

Indonesia is reinforcing its tourism strategy to navigate the challenges posed by ongoing geopolitical tensions while maintaining the sector’s strong growth momentum. Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana announced a range of measures designed to keep the country competitive and adaptable as global travel conditions continue to evolve.

The ministry plans to expand its focus on key regional markets, including Southeast Asia, East Asia, Australia, and India, while promoting Indonesia as a safe and appealing destination for international travellers. Efforts will also include strengthening direct air connectivity, enhancing digital marketing initiatives, and encouraging domestic travel to support local economies.

Special attention will be given to tourism experiences and border-region attractions, with a continued emphasis on promoting unique offerings and supporting events in Bintan and other destinations. Popular hospitality brands such as The Residence Bintan continue to offer exceptional services as travel demand grows.
