All About Women Festival Held in Sydney
A Celebration of Feminism
Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the All About Women Festival was held this month in Sydney, Australia. The event which put the spotlight on issues such as equality, gender and justice ran from 7th to 8th March 2020 at the Sydney Opera House close to Oaks on Castlereagh. Those who stayed at such a well-placed apartment hotel in Sydney were able to easily access the venue and join Sydneyites at this event.
The eighth edition of the All About Women Festivalfeatured a range of talks, workshops and panelsand included women speakers from around the world;aspects covered included history, power, technology and the environment. Among the highlights were such sessions as “conversations with feminists”, “abusive cultures”, “rethinking beauty” and “green with rage”.One day was set aside to showcase “all about women in film” as well.
