Oman Updates COVID-19 Travel Guidelines for Tourists – Quarantine-free Entry on Offer

On 1st September 2021, Oman updated its COVID-19-related guidelines for travellers which included lifting its previous travel ban and offering quarantine-free entry for tourists. However, to not undergo quarantine, travellers are required to show proof of receiving a full dose of a COVID-19 vaccination (at least 14 days before arrival) and a negative PCR test result.

This move came as good news for the tourism industry and international tourists who can now once more enjoy the many top attractions and experiences in Oman at destinations like Salalah; hotel packages are on offer here too at properties such as Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara where one can enjoy safe stays. While the updated guidelines offer a boost to tourism, travellers should note that they are subject to change due to the nature of the pandemic and should always check for updates before visiting.
