Pre-Travel Testing Not Needed to Enter Thailand
Protocols for Entry Updated & Eased
As Thailand looks to get its tourism industry back on track, the government has been easing entry requirements for arriving travellers. Following the reopening of its borders, the country has updated its protocols each month after carefully accessing the local and global pandemic situation. From April this year, tourists, be they fully vaccinated or not, no longer needed to present proof of a negative RT-PCR test taken before arrival.
In a further update, from 1st May 2022, travellers did not have to undergo an RT-PCR test on arrival either; however, those not vaccinated or partially vaccinated were required to stay at an approved Alternative Quarantine hotel for five days and submit to a day five RT-PCR test.
