A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Get into the Christmas spirit

A day of Christmas carols is a surefire way to sprinkle some holiday spirit! A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols was successfully held on 2nd December 2018 at Trinity College Chapel – Trinity College, Kandy. The venue is within easy reach of many leading hotels in Kandy the likes of Cinnamon Citadel Kandy. The Trinity College Choir performed festive music pieces by veteran musical figures and legendary composers like Boris Ord, Anton Bruckner, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Arvo Part. This year’s carols were special since it marked the 60th consecutive year of the traditional Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols held at Trinity. Each carol was followed by a reading from the Bible and this Christmas choir has retained its popularity over the years for singing in several languages.
