At a recently held event in the Maldives organized by the Maldivian Ministry of Tourism, Guinness World Record (GWR) officials announced a new record in the name of Maldives where the greatest number of freedivers have been underwater simultaneously at one location for at least 30 seconds. The exact number of divers to create the record was 523 and this included the Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih too.

In the Maldives, luxury resorts the likes of Finolhu Baa Atoll Maldives provide all-inclusive diving experiences to their guests, and even if some of the guests lack previous experience, every Maldives diving package provided by hotels measure to give guests all aspects of learning from the basics. The Tourism Ministry together with the hotel networks, thus, invites the world to come and enjoy what this island paradise has to offer for them during their tropical getaways.
