In a bid to attract more visitors and travel agencies from China, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has recently been engaged in promotional activities, roadshows and other related events. This included a special media briefing in Beijing which featured the presence of many Chinese and international media outlets as well as representatives from airlines and travel agencies. Among the participants were China Radio, China Central Television (CCTV), People’s Daily and Air China.
Additionally, Sri Lanka Tourism also took part in this year’s Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) which gave visitors a chance to see what the country has to offer. Be it a stay at a Bentota hotel or resort the likes of Avani Bentota Resort or a Kandy bungalow in the hills, the island has many accommodation options along with a wealth of experiences. Such promotions will hopefully bring in more tourists from China in the coming months.
