A Stopover for Cruise Passengers – Sir Bani Yas Beach Island to Open to Visitors as of December

Travellers and cruise holidaymakers heading to Abu Dhabi this December will be among the first tourists to encounter Sir Bani Yas Beach Island according to the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority. Serving as a cruise stopover the newly launched island will be home to some of the most highly anticipated resorts in Abu Dhabi with all three properties belonging to the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts group.

As the first built-for purpose cruise terminal in the country Port Zayed boasts the capacity to house two large scale cruise vessels simultaneously. With the ability to serve nearly 4500 visitors at once the terminal has made Abu Dhabi and the Sir Bani Yas Beach Island a premier destination for cruise vessels travelling from various corners of the globe. Most cruise passengers heading to Abu Dhabi via Port Zayed will get the chance to explore well-known local highlights including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Ferrari World and the Heritage Village.
