A Warm Welcome to Cow Racing Festival

It’s once again the time for one of Hanoi’s most exciting events- Cow Racing! Cow racing is more than just a sport, it’s a festival that has a lot of historical and cultural significance and it’s definitely a must- attend event if you’re staying at a serviced apartment Hanoi like the renowned Somerset West Lake Hanoi. The festival takes place on the last day of the 10th month of the Khmer calendar which is in March. Though the festival is a thrilling and fun experience for tourists, the locals treat it with much reverence. The Cow Racing Festival begins with a procession that honors the fore-fathers and visitors are much welcomed as the locals believe they are sent by their ancestors.
