Abu Dhabi Eyed a 20% Rise in Indian Tourist Arrivals in 2016 – Affordable Luxury Holidays in the Middle East

With higher air connectivity and an increased number of long weekends in 2016, Abu Dhabi expected a 20% increase in the number of Indian tourist arrivals this year.

The country manager for India at Abu Dhabi Tourism, Bejan Dinshaw, stated that the collaboration between Jet Airways and Etihad has resulted in a higher volume of fly-ins from 14 different cities in India.

With the availability of so many high-end resorts in Abu Dhabi, such as the Desert Islands Resort and Spa by Anantara, he went on to announce that Abu Dhabi Tourism will be further increasing their marketing expenditure regarding the Indian sub-continent, by 25%.

Abu Dhabi is on a mission to market itself as a luxury holiday destination that doesn’t dig too deep into the wallet.
