AI Development in Abu Dhabi in the Spotlight – Supporting a Burgeoning Sector

As highlighted on the Skift travel news website in September last year, Abu Dhabi is supporting the development of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector through several ways; these include sharing peer-to-peer knowledge, channelling government investment and creating a collaboration network that are combining to make the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) a key global hub for AI. It’s important to note that this destination is also home to such educational institutions as the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence along with advanced machine-learning research facilities too.

Additionally, it has hosted key industry events such as the Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing 2022 (7th to 11th December 2022); later this year, the ninth International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Applications (10th to 12th February 2023) will also be held in Abu Dhabi. Resort properties in this destination are making use of advanced technology too, offering more sustainable options. Examples include Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara which has implemented Building Management Systems (BMS) with intelligent energy and lighting control as well as a Chiller Management System (CMS), both of which help to save energy.
