Air Asia Successfully Launched Direct Flights Bangkok to Maldives from August Onwards – Air Asia’s Newest Route!

From 11th August, Air Asia started direct flights from Bangkok to Maldives. Air Asia is Thailand’s budget carrier and the fare between the two countries is a fraction of what was offered by Bangkok Airways. The first flight departed at 9:30 am from Don Mueang Airport and the flight back to Bangkok departed at 12:30 pm from Male International Airport. A promo fare of THB 1,990 was launched for a one way ticket which was valid until 25th June. This new flight route for Air Asia enabled many tourists and locals travelling from Thailand a chance to stay at some of the best Maldives resorts at a cheaper rate than offered by Bangkok Airways. With an influx of tourists from Thailand, hotels and resorts such as Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas will greatly benefit from this new route.
