Sri Lanka is home to many Kalutara hotels, but one hotel in particular, Anantara Kalutara Resort, is building a new ballroom that might be one of a kind upon its completion. The ballroom will measure a remarkable 680 square metres and will be within a purpose-built two-storey facility. It is designed to be dynamic as well as spacious since the entire expanse of it is pillar-free. This allows the ballroom to be split up into multiple spaces that can be sound-proofed, making it feasible for corporate functions as well. Additional features of the ballroom include state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment as well as a highly advanced lighting-system that can supposedly create any desired mood. Depending on the arrangement, the hall can accommodate up to four-hundred guests, in various configurations ranging from gala dinners to theatre-style meetings.
