Sheikh Khalid Bin Faisal Al Qasimi, the Abu Dhabi Racing Chairman, participated in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (ADDC) for the first time. The racing event was held from 28th March – 2nd April 2015. It is one of the most prestigious tournaments of the international cross-country rallies. Sheikh Khalid drove a Toyota Hilux, prepared by Overdrive with the expert Portuguese co-driver Jose Manuel Teixeira Marques and was supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Rally is the Middle East’s first ever World Cup and World Championship motorsport event and celebrated its silver jubilee (25 year anniversary) this year. The 6-day challenge kicked off on the exciting slopes of Liwa desert in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi which attracted participants from around the world.Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara was one of the main luxury Abu Dhabi Resorts that was fully occupied with those attending the races during the event.
