Located at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa, The Service 1921 Restaurant takes visitors back to the time when this former colonial house was opened as the city’s British Consulate. Adding a new twist, the distinctive dining venue at this Chiang Mai hotel which was opened recently, recreates the setting of the 1921 period along with adding its own unique touches that blend “cloak & dagger” elements one would associate with the secret intelligence service of the British government.
Patrons can expect to savour authentic creations of Vietnamese, Chinese Szechuan and Thai dishes, while one will also find vintage style salons in which to enjoy light bites or drinks before dinner. Apart from cocktails, The Service 1921 Restaurant also features a special whiskey tasting room where one can also have Cuban cigars and a wine cellar which is stocked with a range of New and Old World wines. Patrons have the option of booking a private room for special functions which can be accessed by a “secret” bookshelf door.
