Aliya Resort and Spa wins at World Luxury Hotel Awards

Aliya Resort and Spa, a premier among hotels in Sigiriya Sri Lanka, clinched the ‘Luxury New Hotel in the Indian Ocean’ award by the prestigious World Luxury Hotel Awards 2014 (WLHA).

The ‘Luxury New Hotel in the Indian Ocean’ award is regarded to be the pinnacle of achievement for luxury hotels and spas worldwide and Aliya Resort & Spa was able to grab this title within just a short time since its opening in January 2014.

This new award is added to a list of achievements that Aliya Resort & Spa has accomplished within just a year’s time. The resort received the Gold Award in Green Rating System of New Buildings, from the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL), the ISO 22000:2005 certification on food safety and the membership in the renowned Pacific Asia Travel Association.

Aliya Resort & Spa is situated amidst the exotic surroundings of Sri Lanka’s dry zone and within view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sigiriya rock fortress.
