Anantara Veli achieves Green Globe Certification

Anantara Veli, Maldives recently achieved Green Globe Certification, making Anantara the first Maldives resort operator to have all of its resorts Green Globe Certified.

According to Claudia Pronk, General Manager for Anantara Dhigu, Anantara Veli and Naladhu Maldives, since no other location on earth can see the impact of climate change so dramatically as in Maldives, they are immensely proud to be the first resort operator in the Maldives to have all their resorts Green Globe Certified.

In its true commitment to protect the nature and environment, Anantara’s Maldives resorts initiated the Coral Adoption Programme which is a long-term plan designed to share knowledge and learning experiences with guests, accelerate the regeneration of coral growth in the atoll reefs, and ultimately secure the future of the atoll reefs in Maldives. A dedicated website facilitates guests to monitor the growth of their adopted coral.

Green Globe Certification is the hallmark on sustainability for the worldwide travel and tourism industry.
