A famous holiday in Thailand, the Asahna Bucha Day will be held on the 30th of July 2015. The event takes place each year to celebrate the first sermon of Buddha in the Benares deer park over 2500 years ago. The sermon describes about the four Noble Truths and the Noble Eight fold path. Travellers visiting the region and are seeking for accommodation could consider a stay at a renowned Samui resort such as Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort & Spa. On this day temples across Thailand conduct ceremonies and locals make offerings to the temples and listen to sermons. A fascinating site that could be witnessed by visitors is the parade of local monks with their alms bowls. Usually during the Asahna Bucha Day instead of offering food, lotus flowers are offered to the monks so that they could visit the temple and offer the flowers to Buddha.
