Rising skies, stronger connections, and renewed momentum for regional tourism

The Asia-Pacific aviation sector is entering a period of sustained expansion, with industry forecasts pointing to sharp increases in passenger traffic, aircraft demand, and route development over the coming decades. This growth is reshaping global travel patterns and strengthening Asia’s position as a key aviation hub.

As airlines add capacity and introduce new long-haul and regional connections, destinations across Southeast Asia are becoming easier to reach. Thailand is among the major beneficiaries, with Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai seeing increased international connectivity and improved access for travellers from Europe, Australia, and beyond.

The surge in air travel is expected to support tourism-led businesses, from hotels to cultural attractions and dining venues, including well-known names such as Dara Phuket, a well-known and modern Thai restaurant catering to international visitors. With smoother journeys and wider flight options, Thailand is well placed to capitalise on the region’s aviation-driven travel revival.
