As published by The Guardian newspaper website in March this year, Australia and Singapore are in talks to commence a travel bubble between the two countries; this will pave the way for respective travellers to visit each nation be it for business or leisure, which will be a boost for both economies too. Australia already has strict guidelines in place including accommodation options such as those belonging to the likes of Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites; such properties feature enhanced health and sanitisation protocols under the Oaks Sure Stay program ensuring a safe stay for guests.
As part of the proposed travel bubble, Singaporeans who have received the COVID-19 vaccination can travel to Australia minus the two-week hotel quarantine. Likewise, Australians who have been vaccinated can visit Singapore without the need of getting approval from the home affairs department.
