Ayutthaya Marathon 2014 – Running in The Footsteps of Kings

A unique event that takes runners past some of Thailand’s most treasured historical sites, the Ayutthaya Marathon 2014 is set to take place on December 14th. Once the ancient capital of the kingdom of Siam, Ayutthaya is home to imposing and impressive ruins that transport visitors back to days of old. The marathon has a route at the Ayutthaya Historical Park and those looking for luxury hotels Bangkok has to offer from which to head to this site can consider Anantara Bangkok Sathorn. The main marathon is run along a course which spans 42.2 km and is scheduled to start at 4 AM. Less advanced runners have other races they can take part in including a Half Marathon which spans 21.1 km and a 10 km Mini Marathon, while there is also a Fun Run which is run on a course that is just 4.2 km long.
