Bali to Be Made a Health Tourism Destination in Indonesia – Adding to the Island’s Allure

While being a popular choice for holidays, the island of Bali in Indonesia is to become a key destination for health tourism as well; this was revealed by Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, the nation’s Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy as part of his “Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno” on 28th November 2022. Such developments are set to take place in other places too with the help of related health tourism industries as well as relevant agencies and ministries. Interestingly, these endeavours are expected to attract Indonesians too who would otherwise travel abroad for certain medical treatments.

Apart from medical tourism in Bali, other areas will be focused on as well including health tourism based on sporting events, MICE-based scientific health tourism and fitness tourism. One should note that these initiatives are complemented by the rejuvenating spa treatments that are available for those staying at a luxury resort; Uluwatu Bali is one of the best places for such experiences and where properties like Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort offer traditional healing rituals, multi-day wellness retreats, yoga, wholesome cuisine, and enriching activities that promote holistic health.
