Strong arrivals cement Bangkok’s position at the forefront of global travel
Bangkok was ranked as the world’s most visited city for 2025, according to the Euromonitor International Top 100 City Destinations Index, after recording an estimated 30.3 million international arrivals. The Thai capital moved ahead of other global hubs, including Hong Kong, London, and Macau, reinforcing its status as a major tourism powerhouse.
The report attributed Bangkok’s performance to a mix of celebrated food culture, active nightlife, eased visa access, and a strong recovery following the pandemic, alongside heightened international exposure from global media. While the city topped visitor numbers, it placed 20th overall when broader factors such as sustainability, infrastructure, and economic strength were assessed.
The surge in arrivals supported accommodation demand across the city, from boutique stays to established properties such as Maitria Mode Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok, a well-known and preferred 4-Star Sukhumvit hotel well positioned for international travellers.
