Celebrating all things mango, the fun-filled Broome Mango Festival recently drew to a close. Held in the beachside resort town of Broome in Western Australia, this annual festival is centred around mangoes, the humble and yummy tropical fruit that is a favourite amongst locals. The festival was held from 22nd to 26th November 2017 at several venues across town that were easily accessible from many of the hotels Broome has to offer.
One of the key events was the Mango Quiz Night which took place at Broome RSL located close to Oaks Broome. The nearby Boulevard Shopping Centre hosted a special showcasing of mango chutneys, cakes and jams, while the final day of the festival featured Mango Jammin’, a fun night at Goolarri Media Enterprises which included music and local food. Organised by the Lions Club of Broome, this was the 31st edition of the Broome Mango Festival.
