The Taiwan Tourism Administration recently captivated the Canadian travel trade with workshops held in Toronto and Vancouver, showcasing Taiwan’s adventure travel opportunities. Jin Juang, Director of Taiwan Tourism Administration’s New York office, highlighted Taiwan’s appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, noting its 268 peaks over 3,000 metres, extensive cycling routes, and abundant water sports. The first workshop, hosted at the renowned Taiwanese restaurant Du Hsiao Yueh, provided attendees with a taste of Taiwan’s adventurous offerings through presentations by experienced foreign travellers.
Attendees engaged with tour operators and airlines in speed dating sessions to build partnerships and promote adventurous vacations to Taiwan. For those attending the workshops, the convenience of staying in hotels in Vancouver, Canada, such as the Pan Pacific Vancouver, added to the overall positive experience. The event demonstrated Taiwan’s commitment to attracting Canadian adventure seekers, aligning with their new marketing slogan “Waves of Wonder” and the beloved ambassador, OhBear.
