Sri Lanka and India have been having a much higher rate of the collaboration of recent times. In regards to tourism, the majority of tourists and travellers that arrive in Sri Lanka hail from India.
IndiGo, the biggest airline in India, recently unveiled two new routes to Sri Lanka. Since the airline is known to be a provider of affordable air-travel, these new routes would seriously boost the rate of travellers that arrive in Sri Lanka from India. Providers of accommodation all over the island, including many a Bandarawela hotel in Sri Lanka along the likes of Bandarawela Hotel, are bound to benefit from this. The same is true for vice-versa as well, with many Sri Lankans being likely to travel to India.
The routes are currently between Banglore-Colombo and Chennai-Colombo.
