Celebrate Ramadan in Abu Dhabi – culture, tradition and celebrations

The Ramadan festival is practiced by Muslims residing all over the world. This includes a month of fasting where the devotees may not eat or drink anything while the sun is shining. Taking part in good deeds and charity is also part and parcel of Ramadan. During this period most restaurants are closed during the daylight hours. However the end of the fasting brings reason for great celebrations, thus the Eid- al- Fitr of the celebration of breaking fast takes place on the 17th of July 2015. Tourists and locals staying at a featured resort in Abu Dhabi, such as Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara can join in the final Ifthar celebrations. During the celebrations Muslim devotees decorate their homes and dress in the finest clothing and give treats.
