Sri Lanka, the teardrop of the Indian Ocean, has become a popular southeast Asian destination during the recent years. The air of tranquillity enveloping the archipelago makes Sri Lanka the ideal place to escape from the real world. With many tourists flocking from different parts of the world, especially from China, Sri Lanka offers a myriad of coastal accommodation options such as Taprobana Wadduwa, which is a popular Wadduwa hotel.
In order to boost Sri Lanka’s tourism, Alibaba Group owned ‘Fliggy’ and Supreme Global Holdings launched “Sri Lanka Pavilion in Fliggy’s tourism platform” on the 30th January 2018 which is said to bring millions of tourists from China to Sri Lanka annually. Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau will work with Supreme and Alibaba on the project implementation with a goal to secure 137 million Chinese tourists who go abroad every year.
