Chinese New Year in Chinatown

It is a common fact that Thailand has one of the largest Chinese communities in the world, as a result, Chinese New Year is celebrated grandly in the country. If you’re in and around Bangkok or any of the Sukhumvit Soi 11 hotels, the likes of Travelodge Sukhumvit 11, Bangkok during this time – you’re sure to witness celebrations like no other at Chinatown.

You’re bound to witness age-long traditions happening at Chinatown in Bangkok, around Yaowarat roads such as the famous dragon parade, the lion dances and the lighting of firecrackers to ward off the Nian snake demon. Along with all these, there will also be Chinese street stalls and cultural shows to give you a completely well-rounded experience.
