Co-living Continues to Grow in Popularity – A Key Accommodation Alternative

While not a completely new concept, co-living is gaining popularity the world over and is offering an ideal accommodation alternative in major cities. Such spaces provide a more community-like setting where residents from all walks of life and nationalities can live, work and play as well as share ideas and experience authentic local culture. In today’s market, where housing in cities is quite costly, co-living is a more budget-friendly option too.

As highlighted on the French website, The Connexion on 20th May 2021, France is also seeing the emergence of co-living properties which is already a trend in America and the UK. This concept is taking root in Asia too; as mentioned on the Channel News Asia website in April this year, the brand lyf by Ascott is planning to unveil co-living apartments at a property in Farrer Park, Singapore in October. It already has a co-living space in operation in Funan and plans to complete another in 2021 at one-north also in Singapore.
