Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Tourism has committed to fully supporting the SiGMA South Asia event, which will make its debut in Colombo in 2025. The Sri Lanka Convention Bureau (SLCB) has officially endorsed the event, highlighting its potential to significantly boost the country’s tourism and gaming industries. This endorsement positions the event as a strategic opportunity to elevate Sri Lanka’s standing in these sectors and enhance the offerings and things to do in Sri Lanka as well as providing business to such brands as Walkers Tours, a key player in travel-based tourism in Sri Lanka.
SLCB Chairman Thisum Jayasuriya emphasized the importance of the upcoming summit, expressing strong support for the event’s success. Scheduled to take place from November 30 to December 2, 2025, the inaugural SiGMA South Asia event is expected to draw over 5,000 delegates, including key figures from the gaming industry, government officials, regulators, and representatives from leading gaming companies in South Asia.
