Cultural Walk Through Time – Eco Adventures on the Gold Coast

Providing families and nature lovers a chance to gain a unique perspective on Australia’s fascinating wildlife and plant life, the Cultural Walk Through Time programme took place at the David Fleay Wildlife Park and at the Tallebudgera Creek Conservation Park in Queensland. This guided tour was held from 5th to 9th April, 2015 and those wishing to be a part of such programmes in the future and looking for family accommodation Gold Coast has to offer within easy reach of the park can consider Oaks Calypso Plaza.

As part of the Cultural Walk Through Time, indigenous rangers took participants on a guided tour walk giving them a chance to learn more about the region’s rich natural heritage, medicinal plants and about the customs and traditions of the Kombumerri people who were the area’s original inhabitants. This programme is part of Queensland’s Connect with Nature series that looks to offer people a greater understanding of the region’s natural treasures.
