Dance Theatre – Unique Tea House Performance in Macau

A distinct show that gives visitors a chance to witness a unique dance performance, Dance to the Sound of Naamyam took place at the end of March in Macau. The performances ran on the 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th of March and was held at the Long Wa Tea House. Cantonese Naamyam which has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO is a distinctive form of song and dance and patrons got a chance to see this live show which has been performed at the Long Wa Tea House since 1963. While the event was organised by the Macau Foundation, the performance was choreographed by Mui Cheuk Yin in collaboration with well known dancer Xing Liang.
