The Hindu festival of Lights also known as Deepavali is celebrated to mark the triumph of good over evil. This is an annual festival celebrated by Hindus all over the world. The little India region in Singapore is home to a high concentration of Hindus and it is where all the action happens in Singapore for Deepavali. This year’s festival kicked off on the 27th of October and had transformed the streets with ornate lights and decorations making it an Instagram worthy destination. Many tourists who were stationed at the accommodations of Park Hotel Group which is one of the Asia Pacific’s best hospitality groups visited the region to snap photos and to see the celebration. On the festival day, people share feasts; exchanges gifts, and perform religious observances to deities such as Ganapathy and Lakshmi, the goddess of fertility and prosperity. Many visitors witnessed colourful and bright displays of fireworks on the festival day night.
