The Festival of Lights, known as Deepavali in Southern India and Diwali in Northern India, is a significant and cherished celebration among Hindus worldwide. Diwali spans five days of festivities, commencing with Dhanteras, followed by Hanuman Jayanti, Narak Chaturdashi, Diwali itself, and concluding with Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj celebrations. It commemorates the return of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, from a fourteen-year exile.
