Doha Named the World’s Most Competitive Job Market – Study Conducted by Resume.io

As highlighted on the Curly Tales content platform on 11th July 2023, Doha has been named as having the most competitive job market in the world. This was according to a study conducted by online resume builder, Resume.io; it analysed how many applications were submitted within the first week of jobs being posted on LinkedIn and it covered every US state as well as 130 international cities. Doha, the capital of Qatar, came out on top with an average of 399 people applying for a LinkedIn job post within the first week. Amongst the reasons attributed for the city’s first place was that personal income is not taxed as well as the country’s adoption of a universal minimum wage.

Another reason for the competitive nature of the job market in Doha was that Qatar hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2022 which helped boost the economy and key industries like hospitality and tourism. These two sectors continue to thrive here with travellers the world over visiting the capital and enjoying stays at Doha-based hotel apartments in Qatar. These include centrally located properties like Al Najada Doha Hotel Apartments by Oaks from which guests can enjoy the best of this destination.
