Donald Steel Golf Tournament – Teeing Off in The Hills

The 17th annual Donald Steel Golf Championship took place on 7th February 2015 at the picturesque 18-hole Victoria Golf Course in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The tournament attracted more than 120 amateur golfers not only from Sri Lanka, but other countries as well including Germany, Canada and Great Britain. Named after the architect of the Victoria Golf Course, Donald Steel, the tournament had a specified maximum handicap limit; 20 for gents and 28 for ladies. While the main prize was awarded to the participant with the Best Gross Score, there were several other awards handed out as well including the Pam Fernando Cup which for the lady golfer who achieved the Best Gross Score and Ebert’s Pot for the men’s participant who got the Best Net Score.
