Dubai International Airport hits the 99% mark on flight interconnections – Experiencing normalcy once again

The busiest airport in the world before the pandemic has once again acquired its former status, with flight interconnections reaching 99% in December. The airport is in service to 198 destinations with 89 national and international airlines, which administer flights to nearly 90 countries.

By mid-December, it was predicted that over 1.6 million passengers would pass through the airport; this was also supported and propelled by the fact that Concourse A at Terminal 3 reached the last phase of completion; now, the busiest airport in the world is once again completely operational. Dubai is enjoying the fruits of its labour after months of not being able to allow international passengers through the city, and the airport is now reaching the peak of its potential even while there is some disruption experienced in Europe and the US on account of Omicron. This will also result in filling up resorts the likes of Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort with tourists, and the rates of a Dubai resort will once more reflect the comforts and luxuries it offers.
