Dubai named world’s second most important retail hub–A Shopper’s Paradise Confirmed

Dubai was named the second most important international shopping destination for the fifth year in a row. According to CBRE, a real estate advisor, Dubai is only second to London, which earned the top spot. With highly sought after Dubai Marina Hotels such as the Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort located within easy reach to some of the top shopping destinations in the city, travellers are provided with excellent retail opportunities.

According to the “How Global is the Business of Retail?” report, Dubai features 57% international retailers which puts the city just behind London at 57.9% and on top of Shanghai at 54.4%. During last year, Dubai attracted 38 international brands including Old Navy and All Saints, both high profile retailers. The majority of the international brands available in Dubai come from the US and Europe. According to the report, local and other Middle Eastern Brands along with Asian brands only take up a minor portion of available brands.
