The grand final of the 2017 Emir Cup was held in Doha, Qatar on the 19th of May. The event which took place at the Khalifa International Stadium is one of the country’s most popular sporting events. Fans from across the country and the region were gathered in huge numbers to witness the battle between, the country’s biggest teams Al Rayyan and Al Saad. The venue the grand final took place – Khalifa International Stadium is conveniently located close to many Souq Waqif hotels such as those by Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels and is one of the key venues for the FIFA World Cup that is scheduled to take place in 2022.
