Final Dress Rehearsal for FIFA 2022 Completed – Region Prepares for Football World Cup

Last month, Qatar successfully hosted the Lusail Super Cup at the Lusail Stadium which was seen as a dress rehearsal for the eagerly anticipated FIFA World Cup 2022. Held on 9th September 2022, the Lusail Super Cup saw Al Hilal SFC, the Saudi Professional League’s winner triumphing over Zamalek SC, the title holder of the Egyptian Premier League.

Of course, this was a prelude to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 from 20th November to 17th December 2022 with the previously mentioned Lusail Stadium hosting the final. This will be the first time that this global football tournament will be taking place in the Middle East and will feature 32 countries vying for the coveted trophy.
