In order to help visitors truly enjoy Bangkok’s famous street food, a new smartphone application or app has been developed that will give visitors a chance to discover the best dining options the Thai capital has to offer. Part of experiencing an authentic holiday, a foodie tour of the city is amongst the popular excursions in Bangkok and staying at a centrally located hotel such as AVANI Atrium Bangkok will provide travellers easier access to the dining establishments that can be found on this app that was launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs working in partnership with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thailand Foundation. The Street Food Bangkok app at present showcases around 120 different stalls and vendors in the city. The app which is available for both iOS and Android phones in English and Thai languages, will include such features as specific dishes, location of the dining venues, ingredients and shop details like opening times, contact information and directions.
