Camels are a regular and a common sight for those who try out desert adventures offered by properties the likes of Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara. But news of the birth of cloned camel was recently reported from Dubai delighting all animal lovers and related scientists of the world. This is a successful attempt made by the Camel Reproduction Centre (CRC), and they have named the female calf ‘Injaz’- meaning achievement. According to recent information, Injaz is healthy and well, and she currently weighs 30kg.
The CRC, established in 1989 has done many such attempts before as well, some of which were extremely successful. It does researches not only about breeding camels but also about many other genetic studies.
