Free Meals as Part of Successful Picnics and Patios Contest Comes to an End – A creative initiative

The Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Victoria Business Association, City of Victoria, Destination Greater Victoria, Vancity and Food Services Association – Victoria Chapter got together recently for a creative and new project. They launched ‘Picnics and Patios’- a program through which people get to enjoy free meals.

This amazing concept was brought up to encourage people to dine out in the city. Those who were spending vocational getaways at serviced apartments in Southbank the likes of Oaks Melbourne Southbank Suites would most likely have also taken part in this program. Local celebrities also joined hands with this project, and it was a great experience for everyone. People were reluctant to head to restaurants after the pandemic, and this was indeed a great concept to change the mindsets of the local community. This program attracted quite a lot of social media attention as well.
